Accra Mayor Okoe Vanderpuye Headed To Parliament – Wins Ablekuma South Seat


Africa’s number one mayor Alfred Okoe Vanderpuye, has won his parliamentary contest in Ablekuma South and booked his seat in the next legislature.
The Accra Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive beat his NPP opponent Jerry Ahmed Shiab to win the seat.
Vanderpuye polled 19, 984 votes out of the total votes cast, whilst Shiab polled 16, 524.
Vanderpuye threw his hat into the ring for parliament last year and has since gone on to win both the primaries and finally the general election.
