The ‘dancehall king’ Shatta Wale is looking into suing the organisers of the upcoming ‘Loud in Gh’ concert, Yfm Ghana, as well as title sponsors Mentos Ghana, over unathourised use of his image to promote the upcoming concert.
In promotional photos released for the event so far, Shatta Wale is seen on them as well as other artists (as seen below) – but it seems no deal has been reached between his team and the organisers for the use of his image.
According to a recent report, Shatta and his team are considering suing Mentos and the concert for the copyright breach. It is not ruled out, though, that a deal could be reached between the parties to properly compensate the star.
Shatta Wale has been in the headlines recently after his performance at the final NDC rally before Wednesday’s elections.
