Communications Minister, Edward Omane Boamah on Saturday called on NDC party supporters to vote for the elephant on December 7–obviously, a big slip.
The minister made the big mistake at Koforidua during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regional rally, which attracted thousands of supporters.
“If we vote for all-die-be die, the country will go backwards… but due to the love we have for our country, we are going to cast a good ballot. This means we are going to vote for the elephant on the ballot paper,” the minister confidently said.
Interestingly, it can be seen from the below video that neither Omane Boamah nor any of the seated dignitaries spotted the blunder.
