Rapper T.I. is facing a $390,000 (£315,000) lawsuit over a missed concert in Florida earlier this year.
The Whatever You Like star was booked to perform at the Planet Graduation party in June (16), but he later backed out of the gig and has now been hit with legal action.
Organisers at Planet Productions are seeking $300,000 (£242,200) from the rapper and his management team for marketing and licensing costs, and $90,000 (£72,600) for T.I.’s booking fee.
According to TMZ.com, promoters were initially reluctant to hire T.I. following the shooting incident at his gig at New York’s Irving Plaza venue in May (16), when one man was killed and three people were shot.
They tried to have the rapper removed from the Planet Graduation event and sent a legal notice requesting the return of the $55,000 (£44,400) he had already been paid ahead of the gig, but subsequently decided to press on with the rapper as the headliner.
