Lady Gaga is urging her fans to show support for Kanye West following his hospitalisation earlier this week.
The Stronger hit maker was admitted to the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center on Monday for a psychiatric evaluation, and is said to be receiving treatment for exhaustion and sleep deprivation.
His medical emergency emerged just hours after his representatives cancelled the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo Tour, and many celebrity friends and fans flocked to social media to send their support and prayers to Kanye.
Now Lady Gaga has added her thoughts in a candid series of posts on Twitter.
“It’s not funny to joke about anyone’s possible or not possible mental illness, this is a sensitive time for many,” she writes. “Let’s be kind & loving.”
“While I don’t agree with everything he does I hope the public shows compassion and (love) for @kanyewest and each other,” she adds. “One love. One Race.”
“@kanyewest i support & love u (sic) brother, I see in you bravery & courage to stop this tour & take care of YOU,” she continues. “You are a GREAT artist.”
