2016 has been a year of countless celebrity deaths, a long list we would be looking at later.
Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah made a prophecy to such effect at the turn of the year, predicting that numerous celebrities would die throughout the year. It’s a prophecy he’s taking credit for now but which was bogus from the beginning – it’s an open ended prophecy about something that is inevitable.
Still, according to his explanation of why so many celebrities are dying, it is because they are engaging in ‘occultism’. According to him, many people in the country are going to these spiritualists for help in getting fame and fortune, and in turn they die abruptly later on.
He likened the phenomena to Sakawa boys, who also get lots of money but eventually die off. So Amakye Dede, George Williams, Nii Odoi Mensah and all those celebrities who died this year were probably all engaged in the occult.
Makes perfect sense, no?
