The viral Mannequin Challenge has now hit the White House and snagged some respectable folk such as Congressional Medal of Freedom recipients.
US President Barack Obama handed out the honour – given out to citizens who make worthwhile contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural endeavors – at the White House Tuesday.
Recipients included a star studded array of individuals – Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, Michael Jordan, Bill Gates, Diana Ross, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Bruce Springsteen and others.
Tracee Ellis Ross, daughter of legendary singer Diana, was on hand to talk all these distinguished personalities into carrying out the mannequin challenge. Watch the fruits of her efforts in this video she posted to Instagram.
