The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) have commenced investigations into allegations levelled against investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas for failing to pay SSNIT contributions for members of his staff.
Anas heads Tiger Eye PI, the company which is responsible for most of his investigative works, which he carries out with a team trained and employed by him.
Justice Paul Dery, who has been fighting the reporter since his expose into corrupt in the judiciary, filed a complaint with the Trust alleging Anas does not pay contributions for his staff. This led to a response from SNNIT which was sighted by Ghanaian media.
“ We hereby acknowledge receipt with thanks your letter dated 30th October 2016 under the above subject.” the response to Dery read.
“Your complaint will be investigated to ensure any appropriate action to be taken”.
