Who did not see this coming? Really. It’s been obvious since his appearance at the commissioning of the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange that Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, has been in the camp of the NDC.
The only questions pertains to how much he has been paid to be gallivanting around in Ghana this way, and whether any taxpayer money went into that expense?
The funny Nigerian actor has been featured in a new campaign ad by the NDC, arriving at the Kotoka International Airport and apparently in awe over the level of development he sees in Ghana. The ad goes on to show some of the signature infrastructure achievements of the NDC.
The impact of celebrity endorsements on political activity is difficult to gauge, especially after the recent US election where Hillary Clinton had virtually all the Hollywood support sewn up. She still went on to lose in a shock result to Donald Trump.
It’s debatable how much Ghanaians would care about what a Nigerian actor thinks of our politicians.
