The below video is of a man who claims to be a fisherman in Ghana–and he’s deeply upset with some sort of government tax on fishing.
According to the Fante-speaking fisherman, it’s absurd for the government to ask fishermen to pay tax.
He argues that he understands why road users (drivers) will have to pay tax–and this because the roads they drive on are provided for by the government.
However, the government does nothing on the sea–has not created any road on the sea for them, so why must any fisherman pay any sort of tax to the government for fishing?
