An association made up of music producers, composers and publishers has thrown their weight behind the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.
The Kumasi based Ghana National Music Composers and Publishers [GNMCP] announced at a press conference earlier today (Thursday) that they were throwing their weight behind Nana Addo.
According to the group, the performance put up by the NDC since entering into office has had an adverse impact on their work and thus warranted a change in govenrment.
Spokesperson of the group, Samuel Adjei Frimpong said that the socio-economic policies pursued by the NDC has increased the level of hardship in the country and affected numerous businesses, including music – noting that many music producers have been forced to shut up shop since the NDC ascended into office.
The over 120 member body said they hoped Ghanaians would make the wise choice and kick out the NDC come December.
