Alfred Woyome – The Supreme Court Is Persecuting Me

Alfred Agbesi Woyome claims the Supreme Court have forgotten about enforcing the law and instead are spending their time persecuting him.
The embattled businessman was the subject of a Supreme Court verdict Wednesday, in which the country’s apex court ruled that former Attorney General Martin Amidu should orally examine him to determine how the Ghc 51m judgement debt he once won from the state was spent.
Speaking to the press after the verdict, Woyome claimed the court, which had earlier ruled he pay back the money, was persecuting him based on lies told them by Martin Amidu.
“I abide by the review decision of the Supreme Court but I am unable to agree with the decision,” he told the press.

“The Supreme Court appears to be persecuting me now rather than persecuting the law, didn’t they say in their review decision that they are the apex court of the land mandated to do justice to all manner of people, does my being a judgment debtor take away my right to apply the same principle to me.” he continued.

“After Amidu examines me, does he leave the enforcement to the AG or the Supreme Court will cloak him with the decision to enforce as a citizen AG…I am really being persecuted, I am being oppressed by the apex court now and it is worrying.”

He added: “The Supreme Court has given too much lateral things to a man who has misinformed them, I was not given an opportunity to talk to them.”
Woyome and Martin Amidu meet on November 24 for the latter’s cross examination of the former.
