Nigerian Gay Right Activist Bisi Alimi Says It Is 'None Of Your Business' What He Does With His Husband

Nigerian gay rights activist Bisi Alimi, who recently got married to a British man, has hit back at intrusions into his marriage with unnecessary questions targeted at him.
Alimi married Anthony Davis in London earlier this month, an occurrence which raised a lot of questions in Nigeria over who becomes the husband and who becomes the wife in the relationship.
Apparently finally fed up with all the questions, Alimi shut down all speculations of that nature, saying that what happens in his relationship is none of the business of all the inquisitive people back in Nigeria.
“He (Davis) is my husband and I am his husband! I know a lot of you are confused about what is going on here – about who is the husband and who is the wife,” he said, adding,
“It is none of your business what is going on. But if you care to make it your business, maybe I can give you a little bit of education.”
He then went on to explain the gender roles established in a gay marriage.
“When two same couple come together in holy matrimony, it is husband and husband or wife and wife. Husband and wife is what straight people do. We don’t do that!”
Is that clear enough?
