"I Feel Like I Did After 9/11"- Robert De Niro On Trump As President

Robert De Niro

Robert De Niro said Donald Trump winning the presidential election has left him feeling like he did after the 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attack in New York.
The 73-year-old Oscar-winning actor was vocal in his opposition to the Republican candidate and real estate mogul, who was victorious against Democrat rival Hillary Clinton on Tuesday.
The New York native made his feelings clear last month in a video encouraging people to vote against Trump, and he called the billionaire “an idiot, a national disaster, an embarrassment to this country.”
Now, the Hollywood veteran has compared his feelings about Trump being elected as President of the United States to the way he felt after two passengers planes were hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorists and flown into the Twin Towers on 11 September, 2001.
“I feel like I did when the World Trade Center was attacked. I’m waiting to see. I’m stunned. We’re gonna see. I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. We’ll see what happens,” De Niro told The Telegraph.
This was about world order, doing things, trying to work our way through a lot of problems internationally and domestically and you need a grown up for that. We’ll see. We’re all waiting, we’re watching.”
