Rihanna’s Fenty Puma line is flying off shelves as she earns new acclaim for her designs. Rihanna’s new Puma sneakers have landed the fashionable R&B star the Shoe of the Year title.
Footwear News bosses, who host the annual ‘Shoe Oscars’, announced the Umbrella singer’s Fenty Pumas by Rihanna had won the coveted award on Friday.
“In my wildest dreams, I never would have imagined an honor like ‘shoe of the year’,” Rihanna said in a press release. “It means so much to me to make a mark like this in the shoe and sneaker industry and to have so many people share my love for the creeper.”
Rihanna’s funky take on the ‘creeper’ has become a huge hit among trendy celebrity A-listers and fashionistas – Gigi and Bella Hadid, Future, Lena Dunham, and Jessica Alba have all been spotted wearing the shoe of the year.
