NPP flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has taken President Mahama to the cleaners over the President’s recent comments warning Ghanaians against constant changing of governments.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter, the 72 year old opposition leader went on a tweet storm excoriating the President and his understanding of how democracy works.
According to Nana Addo, in 2008 changing of governments was good for Mahama but now, he’s advising against it.
“Changing governments was good for him in 2008, but when the time has come for Ghanaians to change governments in 2016, it’s now a bad thing?” Akuffo-Addo wondered in one tweet.
In another, the 72 year old wrote: “Does the President understand the tenets of democracy? If he understood democracy, he wouldn’t be saying some of the things he says.”
President Mahama, speaking to supporters during his recent tour of the Eastern Region, advised against constant changing of governments, warning that the NPP would stop important development projects being undertaken by the NDC if they win power.

I get sad listening to the President sometimes. It is heart wrenching hearing some of the comments he makes.
