NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as General Mosquito, has launced an attack on the NPP flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo which focuses on nothing but his age.
Nana Akuffo-Addo complained about the personal nature of attacks directed at him by the NDC and not 24 hours after he has to suffer another one, this time from the party’s chief scribe himself.
Mosquito was speaking to party faithful in the Eastern Region when he said Akuffo-Addo was too old to be President but that he should rather join the Council of State.
“We don’t hate Nana Addo, but we are only saying he can’t do the job of a President. So if he comes here advise him to abandon his presidential ambition. At his age, he can join Oyokohene (a council of state member) at the Council of State to be advising the president.” Mosquito said.

“Look at how late in the night it is now, we are here because we have the energy to do so as youth. From here we are not done, we are heading for another rally. The next morning we are on the move again. Our only old man that we pride ourselves with, if we subject you to this speed will it help? That’s why we say, go and sit home and be issuing instructions after meals. Is this a bad advice?

“So please advise him, his strength has left him. His brain is, however, intact, so he can sit and offer advice which we will take. But as for the required strength to walk around as President – the soul wishes but the body is weak,”
The age, health and fitness of Nana Addo, who is 72, has been consistently attacked tastelessly by the NDC. who it seems show no sign of slowing down those sorts of attacks.
