Okyeame Kwame the ‘rap dacta’ has revealed that he absolutely agrees with comments passed by evangelist Lord Kenya that artists have to rely on the Holy Spirit to write hit songs.
Okyeame was speaking on Joy Fm when he made the comments, accepting that most singers are inspired by spirits to write lyrics.
“You know, every artiste is inspired by spirits. They’re called the muse. And they are nine spirits that will come and visit you whiles you’re writing or sleeping to come and inspire you,” he said on Cosmopolitan Mix.
“But, beyond that inspiration,” he continued. “is the promotion, marketing, branding, secondary association, and all those things the Holy Spirit will not do for you.”
“But what he’s saying is really relevant. The Holy Spirit can inspire him to write the same way it arrested him.” Okeame added.
The award winning rapper also added on the same show that he does not believe in prophecies even though he’s a Christian.
