Dancehall king Shatta Wale has revealed that whilst he tries to maintain a great relationship with God and has plans to one day build a church – he is unable to regularly attend church service.
Shatta confessed to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday that he has not been to church since 31st December of last year, mostly due to his busy schedule.
He said even though he’s unable to go, his wife goes and pays his tithes for him every weekend. He said he maintains a strong relationship with God despite his truancy.
“I am a very good Christian and I fellowship at Action Faith Ministries headed by Archbishop Duncan Williams… It’s been long since I visited church because of my busy schedule so my wife goes and pays my tithe.
“The last time I was in church was 31st December but it’s no surprise to God so far as we communicate, I have his number and we whatsapp and communicate a lot and I read my Bible everyday,”
Shatta added that his dream remains to make enough money to build churches for people to get to know God more.
“I believe I have a covenant to God and I made a promise to God. Me changing my name from Bandana to Shatta I was going to mention his name in my songs and anything I do I have to mention his name to spread his word across and I’m waiting to get that huge money I have to get to build churches for people to know God,”
