The state owned Inter-City State Transport Company (ISTC) took receipt of a fleet of buses from government Friday as attempts continue to keep the company on its feet.
President John Dramani Mahama was present at the ceremony to hand over the 50 new buses to the company.
The buses, brand new Scania Marcopolo buses, are state of the art with free wifi and surveillance systems.

Some of the features of the new buses are free WiFi, washroom, mobile phone charging points for every seat, six security cameras – two in front, two in the interior and two at the back, a fridge, coffee machines and a television set and video equipment. The company also has IT systems to track the movement of the buses from the national office in Accra.
After the launch, President Mahama posed with the officers of the company, and took a ride in one of the buses alongside his daughter Farida.
