NDC #3, NPP #5 – Positions On The Ballot Sheet For The 2016 Parliamentary Elections Assigned


The electoral commission has held a balloting process to determine the places of each party’s candidate on the ballot papers for December’s parliamentary elections.
The exercise took place at the offices of the commission in Accra Thursday.
Candidates for as many as fifteen parties are contesting the polls, and the top two parties, the NDC and the NPP, picked positions 3 and 5 on the ballot boxes respectively.
For the Presidential elections, where only four candidates are standing, a separate ballot exercise would be held on a separate day to determine final positions.
Here’s the list of the position on the ballot box for the candidate from each party.

1 Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP)
2 Progressive People’s Party (PPP)
3 National Democratic Congress (NDC)
4 United Progressive Party (UPP)
5 New Patriotic Party (NPP)
6 National Democratic Party (NDP)
7 Independent People’s Party (IPP)
8 United Front Party (UFP)
9 All People’s Congress (APC)
10 Reformed Patriotic Democrats (RPD)
11 United Development System Party (UDSP)
12 Ghana Freedom Party (GFP)
13 Convention People’s Party (CPP)
14 People’s National Convention (PNC)
15 Democratic People’s Party (DPP)
