The burial of late singer Daasebre Gyamenah has finally been set after a protracted family dispute involving his matrilenal and patrilineal lines was finally resolved.
The singer’s father’s family wanted to bury him in Koforidua per tradition, but his Amoabo based matrilineal line said as a royal, Daasebre had to be buried in their hometown.
This led to even the threat of court action being floated, and has seen numerous deadlines for the burial exhausted without any action.
The mother’s side has now won the battle for the burial, and it has been announced it would come off on November 26.
Gyamenah passed awayat the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in July after battling a short illness.
