President Mahama Says Outsiders See Ghana As AWESOME – And Ghanaians Should Learn To See It That Way Too

President John Dramani Mahama says Ghanaians should learn to see the country as being on the right track, the same way as ‘outsiders’ do.
The President was speaking at the Holy Ghost Temple of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Adentan Sunday.
Speaking to congregants, President Mahama said Ghana is seen as one of the rising stars of the continent by those outside, which makes him very proud to be President of Ghana whenever he attends international events.
“I feel very proud to be the President of Ghana when I go outside to any International arena, the respect with which Ghana is held makes me very proud to be the president of this country,” he said.
Unlike this deep respect and reverence Ghana is held with on the international stage, the President said the nation is filled with cynics “who believe that their lives can never get better…our nation can never get better”
Some even argue, he added, that “why did we become an independent nation? We should have stayed under the Queen of England.”
He said such pessimism contributes nothing to nation building, and admonished Ghanaians to hold the same respect for the nation as outsiders do.
