Comedian turn actor turn musician, David Oscar is towing the political realms as he expressed his livid dissatisfaction on abandoned state-owned infrastructural facilities.
Speaking with Hitz FM ‘s MzGee on the subject of the various manifestos by the political parties, he said he is appreciative of the fact that something was in there for people in the creative art.
Adding that, instead of Mahama looking at setting up ageing funds, he should rather deal with fixing abandoned facilities.
He said:
“A lot of promises are being made about things that will be done to enhancethe creative sector but I’m asking, what happens to the already existing state infrastructure? I’ve been to Takoradi and the arts center there is nothing to write home about. I live in Koforidua and the arts center is also nothing to write home about.
Cape Coast art center is one of the art centers with the best face in the country but go an look at it, it’s in the bad state. I’m asking, what is being done to the already existing state infrastructure?
People like me who organises shows needs these infrastructures so that I won’t go to the big hotels to pay big money but I can go to the art center because its state facility. For me to get the cooperate audience to a state facility which is nothing to write home about, it should be upgraded.
Enough of the promises, I think we should rather look at enhancing the state facilities we have.”
