If you are a fan of the most watched ,downloaded and ever popular HBO series Game Of Thrones, then the above phrase should be no stranger to you.
House Lannister of Casterly Rock is one of the Great Houses of Westeros, one of its richest and most powerful families and oldest dynasties.
Their unofficial motto, which is as well known as the official one, is “A Lannister always pays his debts” – which is used much more often and mostly in negative context, though it can also be used in the original, literal sense.
Peter Dinklage who played the role of Tyrion Lannister in the series never missed a chance to use this phrase when need be and of course always to his advantage.
