The Minority leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, thinks Ghanaians are so dumb that the sheer number of political parties was confusing.
And luckily Ghnaian’s do very little to prove he’s not right.
The Suame MP was speaking on Joy Fm’s Super Morning Show Tuesday on the disqualification of candidates by the Electoral Commission.
As many as thirteen Presidential candidates were barred from contesting December’s polls based on errors in their filing documents.
Mensah-Bonsu felt it was a good thing as too many parties were simply confusing Ghanaians.
“Too many political parties confuse the electorate” he said on the show.
Despite feeling the action taken by the EC was laudable, the NPP leader expressed fears some parties could seek legal redress, thus putting the Ghanaian elections in danger of being held back.
