Akua Donkor Accepts Disqualification, Endorses Her 'Son' Mahama

Published by

Disqualified presidential nominee for Ghana Freedom Party, Akua Donkor says she accepts her disqualification from the December presidential polls, and has thrown her weight behind her “son” President Dramani Mahama.
“I’ve accepted it, I don’t have a problem with them…Now I cannot contest but I give my support to my son John Mahama. I’m going to campaign for him…all my supporters should vote for him,” she told TV3’s Bridget Otoo in an interview.
Madam Donkor’s decision to support Mahama in the polls is something expected, as she has never hidden her admiration for the NDC flagbearer.
