Veteran actor Abeiku Nyame, more commonly known as Jagger Pee, is currently recuperating after undergoing open heart surgery at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital last week.
Jagger Pee developed an enlarged heart which needed surgery, and left him appealing for funds for the $20,000 needed for the surgery. In the end, the Ghana Heart Foundation paid $10,000 and Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi of the Glorious Waves Church International paid the remaining $10,000.
He underwent his surgery at the National Cardiothoracic Centre on the 25th of September, a surgery that was ultimately successful.
Still recovering, the actor was paid a visit by the first lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama, at his ward last week. The first lady was in the company of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare. They presented a check to the actor, which was received on his behalf by his wife, Beatrice Nkansah.
