The burial and final funeral rites of veteran actor George Williams is set to come off at the tail end of this month as the great man makes his final journey home.
Fred Amugi, a fellow veteran, has announced that Williams’ final funeral rites would come off at the forecourt of the State House on Saturday, October 29.
Speaking to Viasat 1, Amugi also said that a vigil would be held for Williams a day before, on September 28 – as they pay respects to one of the greats of Ghanaian cinema.
Williams passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on the 1st August, 2016.
Williams, who has been one of the pioneers in the Ghanaian movie industry, featured in several classics such Dogo Yaro,Ultimate Paradise, Mama, Genesis Chapter X, Bloody Kids and many others.
He was 87.
