It might not be a very nice thing to say, or sound politically correct, but this woman who has suffered for years cares not what people think. All she knows is that she’s glad her monstrous husband is gone.
Rose Keniah’s husband, Mathias Sedungon, has been abusing her for much of the 16 years they have been married. He also tried to kill her during their most recent fight, after which he committed suicide.
Speaking to Joy News, Rose said she was glad her husband was dead.
Their last fight was in September last year, when the husband ambushed her whilst on her way to the farm, wielding a gun. Described as an expert marksman, he inexplicably missed when he tried to kill her, hitting her in the shoulder instead.
It was not long after that his body was found in a nearby bush, apparently having committed suicide.
Rose said her experience, harrowing as it has been, has taught her to let other women know that suffering abuse should always be reported. She suffered hers in silence until she came so close to death.
“Don’t just flee from their threats, report them to police,” she advises other women who might be stuck in a similar situation.
Women talk too much. Some has no respect for their husbands.
