Kim Kardashian has been making the news with her fashion choices in Paris all week, but Sunday she made headlines for an entirely different reason.
Burglars hit the residence in the French capital where Kim was staying with her family, and robbed it of jewellery worth millions of dollars. Kim was present at the time and was held at gunpoint during the robbery.
The mother of two was alone at the time, and luckily survived the ordeal without any harm coming to her.
“She is badly shaken but physically unharmed,” a spokesperson for Kim said, according to the BBC – adding that an investigation into the incident was underway.
There were as many as five people involved in the burglary, although initial reports said it was two. Kanye West, who was performing at the time of the robbery, cut it short as soon as he heard of the news, announcing he had to leave due to a ‘family emergency’.
“Due to a family emergency, Kanye West was forced to end his performance towards the end of his set.” A statement sent out after his exit read.
“We appreciate the great show he put on for fans to close the inaugural Meadows Festival.
“Our thoughts are with West and his family.”
