A group of furious NDC footsoldiers in the Northern Region have seized the campaign pick-up of the Tamale Central MP until further notice.
The footsoldiers, members of a well known NDC group known as ‘Aluta Boys’, are angry the Minister invited an ‘outsider’ such as Shatta Wale, who is neither from the constituency or from the North in general, to perform at his campaign launch and receive what they claim to be Ghc 150,000 for his performance.
The Aluta boys also claim their MP, who is the Minister for Roads and Highways and who is standing for re-election, has also failed to secure them any proper jobs since entering Parliament and the Cabinet.
So the group seized the vehicle, an NDC branded double cabin Nissan pickup with registration number GN3625-14 in the vicinity on Saturday, deflating the tires and impounding the vehicle.
