A year ago, the calm singer who through his music advocated for peace was awarded the title ‘Tafidan Kudendan’ of Kudendan (which means the Ambassador of Peace) by HRH, the Galadima of Kudendan and just a year after , he has been recognised and slapped with another title.
According to Olori Supergal, the legendary singer was honoured yesterday by the Ife monarch for his #VoteNotFight campaign during electoral periods.
Olisa TV magazine wrote:
“In 2015, the iconic singer, through his The 2face Foundation and a few other organisations, flagged off the ‘Vote Not Fight – Election No Be War’ campaign, advocating a peaceful electoral process.
2baba Idibia also dropped a song of same title, encouraging youths to not be used as pawns by those with ill-thoughts for the nation.
This movement earned the singer the chieftaincy title last year in Kaduna. And now, the famous Yoruba monarch, Ooni of Ife, has honoured him for the continual campaign”.
