The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have announced the seedings for the 2017 Afcon draw that would take place next month.
Ghana, one of the continent’s top sides, have been placed in the top bracket of seeds – alongside hosts Gabon, champions Cote d’Ivoire and the continent’s top Fifa ranked side Algeria.
The 16 teams have been divided into four pots of four and each group would have one team from each pot.
The draw would be held on October 19 in Libreville, Gabon – and the tournament kicks off in the West African nation from January 14- February 5 2017.
