Kumawood actor, Agya Koo (real name Alex Kofi Adu) made headlines last week when he endorsed Nana Akufo Addo with his campaign initiative intending to win 57 percent of total votes for the NPP’s flagbearer.
Following his endorsement, the NDC’s National Campaign coordinator-Kofi Adams came out to stay Agya Koo couldn’t make a political difference with his endorsement–adding that he does not even know who Agya Koo is.
Now, Agya Koo’s former PRO-Isaac Rockson has come out to say the actor was compelled by hunger to come out to endorse Nana Addo, claiming that Agya Koo was prevented from seeing President John Mahama–his initial target and that led him to the camp of the NPP.
In an interview with the host of Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM, Kojo Preko Dankwa, he said; “If Agya Koo says he hasn’t taken any money, he’s lying. Aya Koo has been paid and given an office by Chairman Wontumi and he’s being pushed to say all the things he’s saying.”
He continued: “He’s gotten many properties from this…. if he says he hasn’t gotten anything from this endorsement, then I will tell him he has been very stupid.”
“We had a discussion thoroughly and on the very day he was going to endorse Nana Addo’s candidature, I saw that this is a delicate issue so I said… look we’ve taken a decision and the people who fought for you, you want to ignore them in your decisions because you want money and he (Agya Koo) was desperate for MONEY,” Isaac Rockson added.
He further disclosed that “the truth is that Agya Koo endorsed Nana Addo because of hunger.”
