The rush to bid outrageous amounts for an item during its launch is something that charecterises every function of that nature. That’s when you see people bidding crazy amounts for the most ordinary item.
Usually the bidding is the easy part – the hard part comes when one actually has to part with their money to pay for the item they took.
Dancehall act Epixode recently launched his album, ‘SparJunkiez’, during which Samini bid Ghc 10,000 for one of the first copies. The act at the time made all the headlines after the launch, much more than anything Epixode himself did.
Yet speaking on Happy Fm Saturday, Epixode said the money has still not arrived, six months after the launch.
“…I have to come clear I haven’t received Samini’s GH 10,000. I think Samini pledged GHC 10,000 and up to now I haven’t gotten the money.
“The funny thing is that after the launch Samini’s 10,000 was the main headlines that went out and I still haven’t gotten it and people keep referring to the money in my dealings. I will appreciate it if Samini and his team fulfill their promise.” Epixode added.
Why do I feel this is a new topic for ‘Papa Twitter’ to hit Olu with?
