President Mahama every once in a while does something to underline his street cred. So he rides a motor sometimes, gets photographed throwing some hoops, or simply does the ‘Usain Bolt’ pose.
But our President has now taking the cool global, displaying it during his speech at the UN General Assembly.
President Mahama addressed world leaders Wednesday at the summit, and at a point during his speech on global trade and terror, he managed to slip in some lyrics from the late ‘King of Pop’.
“The words of his 1991 hit song ‘Heal the World’ continue to echo from his grave.” Mahama said, noting Jackson (with whom he shares the birthyear 1958) was one of history’s greatest artists.
“It is my wish that history will record our time here in this hall as one that gave reality to Michael Jackson’s song, heal the world, make the world a better place for you and me, and the entire human race.”
