Unless you have decided not to see—but for those of us with eyes huge enough to see, we know Davido has been missing in the music scene for quite some time now. And because of this, the ‘Aye’ hit maker has come out to say he does not deserve any nominations from any awards this year.
So the 2016 MTV Music Video Awards list is out and whilst artiste Like Flavour N’abania, Olamide and Wizkid made the list,Davido’s name was missing in the list and it was no mistake as the Naija act admits he did nothing music wise this year to be due any award.
The admittance came about when one fan took to Twitter to say all those artiste who made the list did because David has been missing in action for close to 8 months now.
He Tweeted :
“Sum of these artist only got nominated because @iam_Davido left the scene for 8months to work on new project wiv Sony/RCA . #FactsOnly”.
And Davido had the smart riposte coming. He, however, added that next year will be a tough one: he is set to drop his long-awaited album which had been on hold since he landed the deal with Sony BMG.
“I got three MAMAS in two years I’m good,” he said of his previous accolades. And then made the threat, “BUT NEXT YEAR..”
