I’m trying to think of a more epic smack down throughout history and honestly, I’m at a loss for words.
Metro TV’s Paul Adom Otchere, of ‘Good Evening Ghana’ fame – has become the butt of jokes and the recipient of a humiliating and humbling dress down from colleague and former class mate Nii Arday Clegg.
This all stems from a conversation Paul had with Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Tuesday. Paul was asked to choose between three morning show hosts to pick his favourite, and instead of answering, told a little anecdote about how Clegg once took an IA for him back when both were undergraduates at Legon.
On Morning Starr Wednesday, a furious Clegg took Paul to task for impugning his integrity, which he said is his most precious commodity.
What followed was a near flawless take down of one of Ghana’s most prominent and respected journalists, a man who in fact interviewed the President barely a fortnight ago.
Paul in the end had to call in an apologise for his lie and to save whatever shred of his dignity was left alive after that debacle.
