VIDEO: Group Protests Church Service Of US Pastor Who Drives Rolls Royce Whilst His Community Remains Poor

Wayne T. Jackson in the pastor being protested

Ghanaians are so sucked into religion I doubt anything like this would happen anywhere here anytime soon.
A Detroit based group, ‘New Era Detroit’, caused quite the stir last weekend when they protested a worship service by Great Faith Ministries leading to a brawl that nearly descended into fisticuffs.
Zeke, the leader of the group, says they are fed up with the excess lifestyle of pastor Wayne T. Jackson, who drives a Rolls Royce and lives in a $1m mansion whilst people in the vicinity are stricken with poverty.
“The situation is bigger than just Wayne T. Jackson,” Zeek said. “This is about black churches and black pastors who live a lavish life on behalf of the people and they are not giving back to their community.”
All across the US, and indeed in many other parts of the world including right here in Ghana, mega preachers spring up who make tons of money off their congregants and live lavish lifestyles, whilst the very people making them rich continue to wallow in poverty.
“This guy has networks, churches, fancy cars, million dollar houses,” Zeke continued. “And there’s babies in this community that doesn’t have food at night. Somebody has to be frustrated about this enough to do something that will get people’s attention and that’s what New Era Detroit did.”
Zeek says he once attended a church service where offertory was asked for, starting from $1,000. The preacher in charge even said if one does not have that much on them, they could visit an atm and bring back the money.
Zeke said the protest is something they’ll continue doing, to any church with a filthy rich pastor who neglects his congregation.
