Nominees For 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards Released – Stonebwoy, Sarkodie And Others Land Nominations For Ghana

Nominees for the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA’s) have started trickling in, with the first batch revealed during a launch ceremony for this year’s awards in Johannesburg.
It has already been announced that the October 22 ceremony would be hosted by The Daily Show host Trevor Noah in his hometown of Jo’burg, and the first nominees list was also revealed.
Ghanaian acts Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and R2Bees all picked up nominations. Sarkodie receives a ‘Best Collaboration’ nod for ‘No Kissing Baby’, his banger with Patoranking that’s setting the continent alight. Stonebwoy and R2Bees were nominated for ‘Best Live Act’ and ‘Best Group’ respectively.
More nominees would be revealed at a ceremony in Lagos October 2.
