You Can Now Send Tweets Longer Than 140 Characters On Twitter

Micro blogging site twitter has slightly relaxed the rules around its 140 character limit, meaning tweets slightly longer than the character limit can be sent but only in certain specific circumstances.
Twitter has long maintained the 140 limit despite numerous attempts to change it, eventually scrapping each idea as that remains its unique attraction.
However new features soon to be rolled out would allow users to exceed the limit if the characters in a tweet aren’t text or emojis.
Adding quotes, polls, videos, or images would no longer count towards reducing your character limit.
Twitter announced the changes with a statement Monday.
It also announced more features currently being tested to further allow for sending of longer tweets.
“The company is also testing out new replies that will omit the username of the person you are replying to from the character limit. If you reply to multiple people at once, Twitter only omits the person who sent the original tweet from the character count.”
