Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has endeared himself to the players, management and fans of his former club Liberty Professionals after he stepped in to settle some money issues floating around the side.
Gyan over the weekend paid the players their one month salary arrears and winning bonus from a previous game , before a crucial game against Bechem United that was a significant relegation clash.
The motivated stars beat their opponents 3-1 to survive the drop and secure their place for the next Ghana Premier League season.
Gyan started his career at the Dansoman based side, breaking out as a lethal teenage striker before leaving for Europe.
