The 2016 Emmy Awards to honour the best in US television took place Sunday at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the show proved to be a huge night for ‘The People v O.J Simpson’ – the crime drama covering the trial of the century – picking up five awards.
HBO’s Game of Thrones also picked up three awards – overall best drama and best writing and directing for the epochal episode 9 of the sixth season – Battle of the Bastards.
