Mario Balotelli Says Joining Liverpool Was The Worst Decision Of His Life

OGC Nice’s brand new striker Mario Balotelli has spoken out on his rotten few years as a player of Liverpool FC in England.
Mario, one of football’s truest nomads, joined French side Nice on a free transfer at the end of the last transfer window, with his Liverpool adventure brought to an ignominious end.
Speaking before his debut in the French league, Mario said deciding to join Liverpool – he joined the Reds from AC Milan in 2013 – was the “worst decision of my life”.
“Apart from the fans, who were fantastic, and some players who I got on really well with, I didn’t like the club,” he said.
“I had two coaches, with Rodgers and Klopp for a short time, but neither their methods nor their personality left me with a good impression,” he added.
“I never really felt right there.”
Balotelli added that he still believes he can win the Ballon d’Or, the world’s best player award – before he retires.
“Of course. It’s not too late [to win],” he said, when asked if he thought he had pissed his career away “I think I could have already won it by now, but by working hard in training I could still win it in the next two or three years.”
Balotelli scored twice on his debut for his new club.
