The latest entrant to the Ghana Premier League who would commence competing next year are the Elmina Sharks, who sealed qualification to the top flight over the weekend.
The Sharks drew 1-1 with Nzema Kotoko Sunday, ensuring they opened up a ten point lead over second placed Karela with three games to go.
The insurmountable lead makes the side winners of Zone Two of the GN Bank Division One Premier League, guaranteeing them a place in the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League.
The Elmina based club is owned by businessman and flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom – who has reportedly promised each player Ghc 1,000 for the achievement.
