First Division Bechem United beat Second Division Okwahu United in the final of the 2016 MTN FA Cup held at the new Cape Coast Sports Stadium Sunday.
Yaw Arnol was the hero on the day as he hit a brace to give his side the win, the coveted trophy, and a slot representing Ghana in next year’s CAF Confederations Cup.
The game started at a blistering pace with both sides looking for the kill, but the first half failed to produce any goal despite numerous chances.
The second half saw all the fireworks, as Yaw Arnol got his first of two goals in the 55th minute, but the dogged Okwahu equalised soon after.
But the youngster wasn’t done, scoring off an assist from Abednego Tetteh to hand Bechem the win.
