Church Of England Bishop Comes Out As Gay

The first ever gay Church of England Bishop has been discovered, Bishop Nicholas Chamberlain, the Bishop of Grantham.
Chamberlain reportedly made the disclosure to the Guardian newspaper, to forestall a coming expose by one of the UK’s tabloids.
“It was not my decision to make a big thing about coming out,” he told the newspaper.
“People know I’m gay, but it’s not the first thing I’d say to anyone. S*xuality is part of who I am, but it’s my ministry that I want to focus on.” he said.
Chamberlain was consecrated last year by the Archbishop of Cantebury, Justin Welby, who has said he knew about his s*xuality.
“Nicholas has not misled anyone and has been open and truthful if asked.” a Church of England spokesperson said, according to the BBC.
“The matter is not secret, although it is private as is the case with all partnerships/relationships.”
Chamberlain is the first Church of England Bishop to openly come out. But from the looks of things, there are more, the church is just not making a big stink out of it.
