The Black Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by the Amavubis of Rwanda to round out qualifying Group H for the 2017 Cup of African Nations to be held in Gabon.
The game at the Accra Sports Stadium was practically a dead rubber, with the Stars already through to the event. This reflected in Avram Grant’s selection choices and the pace at which the game was played.
Former youth international Samuel Tetteh gave Ghana the lead with a sublime strike in the 27th minute, before a freekick from Muhadjiri Hakizimana eight minutes from time levelled the tie. The game fizzled out as the Stars saw out the result.
