Kanye West’s breakout music video star Teyana Taylor has been cast in new hip-hop TV series “The Breaks”.
The singer/actress, who hit headlines at the weekend August 28 after starring in the rapper’s steamy new promo for Fade, has scored a recurring role in the VH1 drama, which follows three young friends chasing their hip-hop dreams in New York City in 1990.
The Breaks originally aired as a made-for-TV movie in January (16), and following its success, executives decided to turn the film into a scripted series.
Taylor joins a cast which includes Mack Wilds, Evan Handler, Melonie Diaz, and Afton Willamson.
